Hello! This is all a bit new isn't it. Well I decided after much deliberation that my previous website was just not quite fitting Bluebird & Daisy and with the well publicised issues with Etsy I knew it was now the right time to move as many of my eggs into one basket. I am also embarking on a new journey in my mortgage paying part of life and having everything here just makes things so much easier to manage. So welcome to the new site!
You'll see that I'm slowly but surely moving my patterns and ready made items over, I will still have my Ravelry Store and for the time being downloads on Etsy. There is free postage for all ready made items to anywhere within the UK, with pricing for the US and the rest of the world. If you are in any doubt as to the cost of postage just ping me a message and I can do a precise quote for you before you buy. Both myself and customers got caught out a few times by the Etsy system so it's really important that this works well. Downloads will work as they generally do but any problems let me know and I'm happy to email a pattern direct to you.
So with the formalities over it's Granny Square Day on 15 August. A day on the crocheters calendar where all things granny square are posted all over social media, Instagram in particular. I've designed a brand new square just for the day, you can find it over in the shop under both Crochet Patterns and Free Patterns, here's the link . It's written in US terms with the background done in simple double crochet and an overlay stitch to create texture and pattern. I hope you like it. I've made four and plan to do a stripy back and turn it into a cushion. I think it'd look great in a baby blanket or throw.
