Granny Square Day 2023

On 15 August every year the crochet community comes together and we all make granny squares. This is my contribution this this year, a simple square with some overlay that could be used as part of a bigger project or as just four squares and a fabulous cushion front. The pattern is free.

Difficulty

US terminology is used throughout. You will need to be able to chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet and work in the back loops.

Yarn and Notions

Double knitting yarn (light worsted / 8 ply)

4mm hook

Measurements

A single square measures 22cm / 8.5 inches square after blocking
